Title: Specialist Technical Onsite and Cyber Security
About the role:
We are currently seeking a Specialist Technical Onsite & Cyber Security at our mine site in Wright, Wyoming.
The Specialist Technical Onsite & Cyber Security is responsible for delivering reliable IT services across end user computing, network support, and cyber security functions to support operational and business needs. This role provides hands-on support at U.S. mine locations (with some travel required), ensuring that employees have secure, efficient, and well-supported technology environments. By combining onsite technical support with foundational network administration and proactive cyber risk practices, the Specialist plays a key role in maintaining system availability, strengthening security posture, and enabling safe, productive operations.
Duties will Include:
- End User Computing – Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related peripherals, ensuring reliable performance, timely issue resolution, and alignment with corporate standards
- Technical Alignment – Implementation and support of enterprise IT systems, including hardware and software upgrades, design changes, and infrastructure improvements as planned and developed by IT authorities
- Network Support – Assist with the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, and connectivity issues, to maintain stable and secure operations
- OT Security – Support the protection of operational technology environments by monitoring systems, applying security controls, and assisting with incident response
- Vulnerability Remediation – Conduct regular patching, updates, and system hardening activities to address identified vulnerabilities and minimize security exposures across IT and OT environments
- Incident Support – Provide support in the identification and response to security incidents by utilizing threat intelligence and vulnerability data. Assist in conducting root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to identify areas of improvement in the vulnerability management and risk response process
About you:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience
- Preferred Industry Recognized certifications from CompTIA, Cisco, or ISC2
- Must maintain a valid and current driver's license
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to collaborate with other team members, departments, and vendors
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced industry and mining atmosphere, and possess advanced problem-solving capability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with IT/OT environments; experience in mining, manufacturing, or other industrial settings is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation, cabling, and infrastructure support, including the ability to safely operate articulated boom and scissor lifts
- Experience with fiber optic technologies, including fusion splicing and operating an OTDR for testing and troubleshooting
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and risk assessment frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and common vulnerabilities (e.g., CVEs, OWASP Top 10)
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks, which may include prolonged sitting
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
- Must be able to use a computer
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively
- Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Physical Requirements, Underground Occupations:
- Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time on uneven, rocky surfaces
- Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
- Must have the ability to walk for up to 4 hours at a time. Will be required to walk through different sections of the mine with varying degrees of clearance and headroom
- Walking ability will be judged according to SCSR emergency evacuation plan required and approved by MSHA
- Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
- Must have the ability to bend or stoop for a full work period as a result of mine height
- Must have the ability to climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders
- Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs as well as good hand to eye coordination
- Must have the ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and the ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area
This is a Safety Sensitive Role:
- Individuals in safety sensitive roles (i.e., role where impaired performance could credibly result in fatality or permanently disabling injury), cannot have:
- an uncontrolled condition which is likely to cause loss of consciousness or ability to control a motor vehicle or other large machinery.
- an uncontrolled respiratory or cardiac dysfunction likely to interfere with the ability to operate a motor vehicle or other large machinery;
- a current clinical diagnosis of high blood pressure likely to interfere with ability to operate a motor vehicle or other large machinery;
- a current or unregulated mental or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with ability to drive a motor vehicle or other large machinery;
- impaired hearing (with or without hearing aids) that would prevent the person from hearing crucial safety information or alarms;
- impaired vision. Individuals must meet the minimum vison requirements of at least 20/40 acuity (Snellen) with or without correction and at least 70° field of vision in horizontal meridian measured.

Target salary range for this role is $59k to $72k.
