Title: Manager - HR- NARM
About the role:
This position manages the execution of Peabody’s HR strategy at NARM. It is responsible for leading work activities in many or all the following areas: positive employee relations, performance management, policy development & implementation, change management, staffing, compliance, and compensations and benefits.
Overall, this position ensures the proper balance between business objectives and employee needs and provides leadership and guidance to management and employees to ensure effective employee relations; compliance with policies, procedures; and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Duties will include:

- Act in accordance with and adhere to the Safety as a Way of Life Management system.
- Lead, partner, and consult in the development, implementation, and integration of HR strategies, programs, processes, policies, and procedures for the location. Ensure consistency of actions within the larger US Operations platform.
- Act as internal consultant for Employee Relations issues, policy interpretation, and disciplinary procedures. Lead investigations and make recommendations for action based on the findings and in keeping with past practice.
- Provide side employees with a full range of Human Resources support.
- Provide active HR leadership in the promotion and reinforcement of a continuous improvement culture.
- Support all hiring activities for both professional and hourly staffing, including planning, prospecting/recruiting, and candidate assessment.
- Provide leadership in the preparation for and management of change as the organization adapts to the evolving business environment.
- Provide employee support and guidance to ensure positive employee relations; resolve issues and implement proactive strategies to remove obstacles to success. Serve as a coach to the leadership team and promote effective people management techniques and solutions.
- Ensure governmental compliance of employment and management practices. Maintain the facilities AA/EEO Programs (AA Plan, Applicant flow logs). Promote diversity and inclusion at the mine. Maintain required documentation.
- Assist in training and development needs of employees. Promote continued professional and skills development through effective use of available tools and training options.
- Provide support to the business leaders for leadership development, performance management, organizational development and communications efforts.
- Assist with community relations management and manage the location’s charitable contributions budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Lifestyle:
This position is a full-time site-based role supporting operations at North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM) in Wright Wyoming.
About you:
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
- 5-7 years of verifiable HR experience requires, preferably with exposure to a mine or industrial environment, and at least 3 years’ experience at a leadership level.
- SHRM certification preferred.

- Solid HR, functional skills and knowledge of employment law.
- Strong PC skills, including MS Office, Outlook; experience with SAP and SuccessFactors preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to travel and work within mine sites to include surface or underground operations.
- While in the office:
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing.
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment.
- Must be able to use a computer.
