Title: VP Treasurer
About the role:
We are currently seeking a Vice President Treasury at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO
Reporting to the EVP & CFO, the Vice President of Treasury is responsible for cash management, hedging activities, equipment financing and lease/loan compliance. The Treasurer also has primary oversight of pension and employee saving’s plan investments. The individual will be responsible for coordinating the company’s overall enterprise risk management efforts, in addition to direct responsibility for insurance programs and claims management. The Treasurer also works closely with the CFO and Vice President of Finance to develop capital markets intelligence and to formulate and execute capital market transactions. The salary range for this role is $270k - $335k annually.
Duties will Include:
- Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values
- Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System
- Plan, direct and lead the work of the managers and teams of a site or function
- Manage the company’s world-wide relationships with a variety of global financial institutions to ensure the Company has the requisite access to credit to execute its business plan
- Oversee an integrated, global cash management system including cash collections, cash disbursements, investment of excess cash and short-term borrowings
- Advise on the appropriate capital structure for the company, advising the CFO and Executive management on debt-to-equity ratio, fixed to floating exposures, acquisition financing strategies, etc.
- Manage the investment strategy for the pension fund and employee retirement plan assets
- Oversee equipment financing activities
- Initiate and prepare lease and loan reporting compliance procedures
- Coordinate and support the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management Committee
- Provide guidance on identifying, quantifying and managing business risks
- Implement corporate-wide insurance strategies for property, casualty, directors and officers, and workman’s compensation
- Utilize Captive insurance company to enhance company’s risk transfer strategies.
- Develop and implement a global surety/bonding program to ensure the company has the requisite financial guaranty capacity to meet all local, state and federal government requirements
- Provide strategic direction for of all global insurance programs
- Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
- Other duties as assigned by the company

About you:
- 15 years of relevant professional experience required
- 10 years supervisory experience of a multidiscipline team required
- B.S in accounting, finance, business, or related field required
- M.B.A., M.S. in accounting, or M.S. in finance Preferred
- Individuals with an advanced degree in business, accounting, or finance may be considered with less than fifteen (15) years experience
- Highly competent in Professional Accounting Standards, Finance, Financial Planning and Data Analysis
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
- Must be able to use a computer
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively
- Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
