Title: Sr. Mgr Financial Reporting
About the role:
We are seeking a Sr Mgr. Financial Reporting. This person is responsible for oversight of the internal consolidated financial report process, and the preparation of all external consolidated and separate company reports for Peabody, which includes reports filed or furnished to the SEC, ensuring the reporting is performed timely, accurately and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Duties will include:
- Oversee the internal consolidated financial process for Peabody, including the review of monthly statements and reporting hierarchies
- Coordinate the monthly management package consolidation and meeting
- Coordinate review of quarterly and annual reports by the Company’s external auditor
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation and filing of external financial reports for Peabody, including the preparation and review of various disclosures
- Assist Investor Relations in the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and investor presentations
- Manage and oversee the detailed tagging of interactive data required by the SEC for the corresponding SEC filings
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and assist with the adoption of new pronouncements
- Support the preparation of offering or financing documents; perform research on complex accounting issues
The Lifestyle:
This position is a full-time role, working from our corporate headquarters in St Louis, MO. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office / home working arrangements. The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $173,000.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant work experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge of SEC rules and regulations
- Proficiency with SAP to obtain/review the data that is included in the financial statements
- Ability to lead and motivate others and delegate responsibilities effectively
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to build positive working relationships across both operational and corporate functions
- Demonstrated problem solving skills to quickly and effectively resolve issues
- Ability to act and make decisions independently and provide support for decisions
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other team members, departments and outside parties
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
- Must be able to use a computer
- Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
