About the role:

We are currently seeking a Land Analyst – Engineering Applications at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO

 

Reporting to the Manager, Land Records, this is responsible for providing professional support relating to the management of US Land Records, US Land Acquisitions, US Land Sales and other key projects. The salary range for this role is $57,000 - $71,000.

 

Duties will Include:

  • Responsible for mapping, drafting, plotting related exercises
  • Read and interpret Legal Documentation such as contractual agreements, sale contracts, deeds, property descriptions, boundary surveys, etc.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and functional use of internal Land Management System to generate applicable reports and maps.
  • Utilize various GIS applications, such as ArcGIS, to integrate property boundaries associated with property control and survey file editing and drafting.
  • Perform GIS database maintenance and analysis using ArcGIS software
  • Create, translate and integrate GIS data layers, and digitize new data using a variety of software
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of mapping data
  • Special projects and as-assigned departmental tasks
  • Assist engineering and land personnel update maps and files to reflect status of operations and facilities at various locations.
  • Working knowledge of excel spreadsheets and ability to enter data.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users of mapping systems

 

The lifestyle:
This position will work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm CST at the corporate HQ in downtown St Louis.  

 

About you:

  • Associates Degree in Surveying, engineering technology, computer science or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years-experience in field related to mapping, surveying, or similar computer applications required or 5+ years’ experience with HS diploma.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD / Carlson SurvCAD Software and .dwg files.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS and .shp for related mapping software.
  • Proficiency with GoogleEarth or KMZ files.
  • Proficiency in the ability to interpret and convert data into AutoCAD from various formats.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong Communication stills including verbal and written.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and execution focused.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • High proficiency in web-based computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all management levels, intercompany departments, and operational personnel.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively
  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
