Title: HRIS-Ops Intern
About the role:
We are currently seeking an AP/AR Intern to join our PBS Shared Services department and be based in our St Louis headquarters. Reporting to the Mgr of Sales Accounting, the scope of your role will be to provide support to all functional areas of the PBS shared service model, including but not limited to the following: The range for this position is $24/hr
Duties will include:
- Assist with system validation regarding upgrades and new software implementations.
- Perform data analysis on large amounts of data across multiple systems
- Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
- Keep current with ticketing systems including follow-up of outstanding items.
- Assist with data entry as needed.
- Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies as requested; handle confidential and non-routine information when necessary.
- Foster relationships with customers and build knowledge by communicating clearly with understanding and empathy.
- Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives.

About you:
- College undergraduate status for those currently pursuing the following majors: Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Project Management, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Human Resources, Organizational Management, Information Systems; other relevant majors may also be considered.
- Peabody utilizes SAP as its enterprise software, along with ServiceNow to action tickets.
- The successful candidate will be provided an opportunity to acquire hands-on experience with this application.
- Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
- Ability to learn SAP and other software, including but not limited to ServiceNow
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data and root cause analysis
- Strong customer service focus and orientation
- Flexible and willing to support in multiple functional areas
Physical requirements:
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing.
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment.
- Must be able to use a computer.
- Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
