Title:  Serviceperson

We are currently seeking an experienced Serviceperson to join our Wilpinjong mine site on a lifestyle roster (5 shifts on and 4 off).

Our Wilpinjong mine is a low strip ratio open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of the historic and country charm of the town of Mudgee, producing a high quality thermal coal for export with long term contracts for the domestic market. Wilpinjong is a multi-seam operation utilising truck / excavator and dozer push methods and currently producing 12 - 14mtpa of coal.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the scope of your role will be to play a pivotal role in helping ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our site.

About the role:

Responsibilities will include:

• Prioritise and undertake specified and/or general work to the required standard and within timeframes
• Minimise production downtime
• Participate in and complete shift change, site meetings, communications or reporting requirements to the required standard
• Actively engage in the Continuous Improvement Program
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, safe and efficient work practices, as well as Peabody Cardinal Rules and site Safety and Health Management system requirements
• Not just refueling, this role is dynamic and critical to the success of the mine!

About you:

Critical to your success will be:

• Open cut coal mining maintenance experience an advantage
• Service truck operations and refueling routines for Surface Mobile Equipment
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast paced environment
• Be willing to work on a 24/7 rotating shift roster
• Uncompromising commitment to safety and the environment
