Title:  Production Operator

About the role:
In exciting news, for mining operators with single skill (or more!) we have permanent roles at Peabody Energy for high calibre Production Operators to join our Wilpinjong mine on an even time lifestyle roster. 

Wilpinjong mine is a relatively low strip open-cut coal mine located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing thermal coal for export and domestic markets. We use predominately truck & excavator mining and dozer bulk pushing in our overburden, coal and rehab operations.

Proving great stability to our employees, we have a mine life into the 2030’s, 67M Tonnes of proven and probable coal. We are looking for people who will deliver to plan, work effectively and collaboratively in delivering excellent outcomes.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, these positions are responsible for operating heavy mining equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve realistic production and cost targets.

This is an excellent opportunity for Multi and Single Skilled Production Operators who have a years plus mining experience operating any or all of the following:

• CAT 785, 789, 793, and Terex MT400 trucks
• CAT 16M & 14M graders
• CAT D10 and D11 dozers
• Liebherr 9350, 9400 and CAT 6060 excavators.

About you:
You are an experienced Operator who -

• Can demonstrate an understanding of and a strong commitment to safety;
• Understands the positive correlation between safety and productivity;
• Has a positive attitude
• Is qualified and competent in operating of one or more of the following: Grader, Dozer, Excavator, Haul / Rock truck.
