Title:  CHPP Operator Maintainer

About the role:
We are currently seeking a CHPP Operator at our Wilpinjong mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 58km kilometers northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.

Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, the scope of your role will be to operate all areas of the Coal Preparation plant in line with production schedules whilst working within a small crew.

Duties will include:

• Operate and monitor the preparation plant to optimize production
• Identify, report and act on all hazards and comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Management System
• Perform first response breakdown maintenance tasks as required
• Operate stockpile dozers to manage the product coal stockpile, reclaim operations and train loading in line with schedules and blend parameters 
• Maintain CHPP equipment as requested during scheduled maintenance periods
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP and Train Loadout

The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a rotational shift roster and can allow for a residential lifestyle in nearby Mudgee district.

About you:

• Candidate must have an electrical or mechanical trade qualification
• Ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge and information
• Ability to work in a team environment and effectively resolve conflicts with fellow team members
• Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure
• Able to take accountability for their own work and development
