<span 72="">About the role:
<span 72="">We are currently seeking a day shift Electrician to join our Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) team at our Wilpinjong Mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open cut mine located 40 kilometres
<span 72="">northeast of Mudgee producing a high-quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.

 

<span 72="">Reporting <span 72="">to the CHPP <span 72="">Electrical Supervisor, the day shift electrician will utilise their skills and qualifications to maintain fixed plant used to prepare coal for transportation to domestic power generators and export shipping terminals. 

 

<span 72="">Key duties of the role include, but not limited to: 

 

  • <span 72="">Responsible to the CHPP Electrical Supervisor for the inspection, repair, maintenance and approved modifications of electrical equipment.
  • <span 72="">Maintain complete equipment records and documentation related to tests, maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
  • <span 72="">Responsible for following the test, maintenance, and installation procedures established as acceptable for the equipment under the care of this department. May assist in the development of procedures or the checkout of electrical systems where established procedures are inadequate and non-existent.
  • <span 72="">Recommend improvements and modifications of the electrical equipment to the CHPP Electrical Supervisor through the continuous improvement process.
  • <span 72="">Comply with all established safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
  • <span 72="">Assist in maintaining an adequate supply of electrical spare parts.
  • <span 72="">Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
  • <span 72="">Ability to read and understand technical manuals and prints, ability to do various forms of paperwork (written), and use of simple algebra are each essential to this position.
  • <span 72="">Ability to work without close, direct supervision.

<span 72="">This position is offered on a Monday to <span 72="">Friday 10-hour day <span 72="">shift allowing for a residential lifestyle in Mudgee or nearby towns.

 

<span 72="">Mudgee is located within the wine region of beautiful Country NSW and is surrounded to by World Heritage Wilderness.

 

<span 72="">This is a unique opportunity that will allow individuals to escape city life and explore what Mudgee has to offer including enjoying the countryside, bushwalking, exploring the charming surrounding towns and spending time by the Cudgegong River.

 

<span 72="">About you:

  • NSW Electrical supervisors’ licence or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience from a fixed plant maintenance background in a similar industry.
  • <span 72="">Honest and flexible attitude to tasks and required hours.
  • <span 72="">Have a strong safety and risk management focus.
  • <span 72="">Have a positive attitude and good work ethic.
  • <span 72="">Be an effective team player.
  • <span 72="">Uncompromising commitment to safety and the environment.
