Title:  Tyre Fitter - Coppabella

About the role:

As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter with a strong safety focus at our CMJV Mine. Located 140 kilometres South-West of Mackay, the mine produces premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export and domestic markets.

You will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the successful performance of the mine along with the following duties:  

• Mechanical maintenance and tyre repairs on light, medium and heavy vehicles performed in a safe and productive manner
• Tread depth measurements, pressure readings and inspections on all heavy earthmoving Mobile Equipment
• Actively participate in effective shift change over and shift Pre-Starts
• Complete a detailed written hand over at the end of each shift
• Be an active participant in the Continuous Improvement Program
• Conduct site hazard reports
• Minimise production downtime in the event of breakdowns and scheduled maintenance by using effective shift planning techniques

The lifestyle:

 This position is offered on a 7/7 day/night roster and can allow for a residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• Proactive role in setting and maintaining a high safety standard
• Minimum of 3 years tyre fitting experience in the mining industry
• Cert 2 in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (LHAOTR)
• AURKTJ016 Operate earthmoving and off the road tyre handlers
• Experience in Tyre Maintenance Systems

We would also encourage retail service fitters with a minimum 5 years’ experience with earthmoving tyres to apply as well.
