We are currently seeking a CHPP Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets, with an extension of an additional pit at Moorvale South, adding to our coal production.

About the Role

Join our close-knit team at CMJV as a hands on CHPP Mechanical maintenance Supervisor, where you’ll lead a small, experienced and highly engaged maintenance team. Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll ensure safe, efficient maintenance operations while fostering a collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands On Leadership: Ensuring the reliability and availability of equipment through maintenance strategies.
• Safety & Compliance: Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, conducting investigations, and managing risks.
• Team Development: Coach and mentor a small, skilled team while managing performance and career development.
• Operational Excellence: Executing maintenance plans to ensure work is prioritised to maintain operational capabilities
• Contractor & Resource Management: Supervise contractors, manage leave calendars, and ensure effective team coverage.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with CHPP production teams, ensuring accurate documentation and operational transparency

About You

To excel in this hands-on CHPP mechanical supervisor role, you’ll need extensive fixed plant, technical expertise, and a passion for driving team performance.

What You’ll Bring:

• Mechanical Trade or Engineering background
• Experience in CHPP or Processing Plant Operations (or similar)
• S123 and G2

• Technical Skills:
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities, including major shutdowns.
  • Acquired computer skills including SAP
• Leadership & Team Engagement: Comfortable working alongside the team, leading by example, and driving operational success.
• Safety First Approach: An uncompromising commitment to safety with a solid understanding of risk management and hazard identification.
• Work Ethic & Flexibility: A proactive team player with a strong work ethic and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
