Title:  Supervisor Open Cut Maintenance

We are currently seeking a Tyre Supervisor at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) - Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

About the role:

As the Tyre Supervisor, you will oversee the management of the tyre maintenance program for our fleet of mining trucks and heavy equipment. This hands-on role will require you to lead a team, ensuring that all tyres are maintained to the highest safety standards while optimising the performance and lifespan of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of tyre technicians, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of all tyre-related tasks.
• Develop and implement tyre maintenance schedules and procedures to maximise fleet performance and reduce downtime.
• Monitor tyre condition, including wear, pressure, and alignment, and perform inspections and repairs as required.
• Ensure the timely ordering, storing, and tracking of tyre inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of tyre usage, maintenance, and costs for reporting purposes.
• Provide training and mentoring to team members, promoting best practices in tyre management.
• Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations while ensuring adherence to Peabody's operational standards.

The lifestyle:

This position is offered on a 7/7 roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Camp accommodation is provided. Employees residing locally may be eligible for the Living Away From Home or Accommodation Assistance allowance, depending on circumstances.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• A proactive approach to safety and quality in the workplace.
• Experience in Tyre Maintenance Systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to effectively communicate and problem-solve.
• OTR tyre fitting experience in the mining industry.
• Cert 2 in Heavy Vehicle Tyre Fitting (desirable).
• Standard 13.
• RII's or equivalent competencies would be highly desirable for Light, Heavy and Off the Road/Earthmoving vehicles including:
• Select tyres and wheels for specific applications
• Remove, inspect, repair and refit tyres and tubes
• Remove, inspect and refit wheel and tyre assemblies
