About the role:
We are currently seeking a CHPP Maintenance Superintendent and a CHPP Production Superintendent at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of three open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

Reporting to the Business & Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the production and maintenance of CHPP key metrics to ensure the delivery of feed tonnes, yield, product specifications and train loading are met across two processing plants. 

 

Duties will include:

  • Management and leadership across two dedicated processing plants
  • Foster a positive and productive working relationship and culture between the team members and with other departments
  • Continue to identify opportunities to improve the performance of people, processes and systems
  • Ensure high compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements along with site policies and procedures
  • Liaise with Mine and Technical Services personnel with regards to schedule for coal processing activities
  • Provide quality control of product coal stockpiles for blending requirements to meet customer specifications
  • Work closely with the marketing, sales and logistics teams to ensure railing and shipment schedules are achieved on time and on spec.

 

The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 9 day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.  Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.

About you:

  • Minimum of 10 years processing experience
  • Proven ability to effectively manage contractors and a team
  • Excellent people development skills.
  • Possess well-developed communication, negotiating and influencing skills and confidence in your knowledge of project management practices.
  • Commitment to safety as a way of life
