Job Description

Peabody are currently seeking Underground Operators (including Miner Drivers) join our Centurion underground mine, Our Centurion mine is located 160 kilometres west of Mackay. For more information on Centurion visit (centurionmine.com.au)

We are actively recruiting now to build our crews, in underground mining - Development

Reporting to the Mine Manager the scope of your new role will be include.

• Carrying out personal risk assessment, hazard identification and other safety requirements relevant to the role
• Performing underground mining activities including coal extraction using both longwall and continuous miners, primary and secondary support and other supporting activities using a range of mining equipment in order for the mine to safely meet production goals
• Participating in site continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Relevant experience in underground coal mining, with current competencies for the operation of a variety of underground mining equipment, mobile equipment and for carrying out support activities.

Experience in both Development and Longwall mining operations would be highly regarded.

A demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively in a team are key requirements of the role.

Commitment to high performance standards.

Relevent tickets (Bolter, Shuttle Car, Loader, Drift runner)

This position is offered on a 7:7 day/night roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah) DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.
