About the Role

Peabody is currently seeking Outbye Underground Electricians to join our Centurion underground mine. The Centurion operation is located 160km west of Mackay. For more information about Centurion, visit centurionmine.com.au.

Reporting to the Outbye Electrical Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting personal risk assessments, hazard identification and adhering to all required safety systems
Performing electrical maintenance, inspections and repairs on underground outbye equipment to ensure safe, reliable and productive operation
Ensuring compliance with all statutory electrical regulations and mine site procedures
Fault finding and troubleshooting on high-voltage/low-voltage systems and associated infrastructure
Supporting site continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to a strong safety culture

This position is offered on a 7:7 day/night roster, supporting either Moranbah residential, DIDO, or FIFO arrangements.

About You

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in underground coal mining
Competence in the operation and maintenance of underground electrical equipment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
A demonstrated commitment to safety, risk management and high work standards

You will be a proactive team member with a strong work ethic, flexible attitude, and a genuine commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
