About the role:

Peabody are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner join our Centurion underground mine, Our Centurion mine is located 160 kilometres west of Mackay. For more information on Centurion visit (centurionmine.com.au)

 

Reporting to the Manager Engineering and Maintenance your responsibilities will include but not limited to:  
 

  • To prepare, issue and update maintenance schedules for all UG maintenance and project activities consistent with achieving the plant reliability and operating cost targets set 
  • Liaise with site production personnel to identify the upcoming maintenance requirements
  • Liaise with the Mine Manager, undermanager and maintenance contractors to identify the resources available for the execution of work orders 
  • Converts the asset management plan schedules, service report findings and defect notifications into maintenance work orders 
  • Process and check weekly maintenance compliance report 
  • Data entry and filing of all diesel equipment thermal sensor tests  
  • Raise purchase orders for the provision of maintenance services and the supply of components
  • Deliver the work schedules together with the work orders and associated documentation to the Mine manager and Undermanager’s each week.
  • Ensure that all information for work order close out has been received and updates SAP 
  • Maintain a backlog of work orders awaiting scheduling and provides a weekly maintenance report showing compliance with schedules and the level of backlogged work orders 
  • Inform the Maintenance Coordinators of any resource constraints that may affect the completion of tasks 

 

Requirements for the position:

  • Relevant Mechanical Trades qualification
  • 5+ years-experience in a related industry  
  • High level of interpersonal skills with group leadership ability  
  • Good level of verbal, written and numerical skills 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Experience in Planning & Execution Techniques
  • High level of understanding and knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Equipment reliability trending analyst
  • Continuous Improvement methodology
  • Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA’s, Risk assessments & Permits.

This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah) DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.
