About You:

Are you ready to lead one of Australia's most exciting longwall operations? Peabody’s Centurion Mine is ramping up—and we’re looking for a seasoned Longwall Superintendent to drive performance, safety, and innovation in a site with a projected life of mine of 30+ years.

That’s right—this is your chance to shape the future of a world-class operation for decades to come.

Duties will include:

• Oversee daily longwall operations, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Tech Services, and other departments to deliver seamless production outcomes
• Conduct pre shift briefings, inspections, and ensure effective hazard identification and risk control
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety leadership and team accountability
• Monitor equipment performance, longwall conditions and productivity trends
• Support and mentor crew members, promoting skill development and high performance
• Respond to unplanned events or breakdowns with prompt decision-making and escalation when required

About You:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in longwall coal mining operations, with proven leadership in a similar role
• Statutory Supervisor qualifications (e.g., S123, G2 or equivalent) – highly desirable
• Previous experience working in a NSW or QLD underground coal mine
• Exceptional understanding of longwall equipment, processes and underground safety standards
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and behavioural safety leadership
