About the role:
We are currently seeking a CHPP Electrical Coordinator to join the team at our our Centurion underground mine. Our Centurion mine is located 160 kilometres west of Mackay. For more information on Centurion visit (centurionmine.com.au)

This role will report to the Prep Plant Manager and will be assisting with supervising CHPP Maintenance crews. The scope of the role is to be responsible for all scoping, planning, execution and reporting of electrical maintenance and engineering project work at our Centurion CHPP. 
 

 

Duties will include:

  • Develop weekly and annual improvement project plans for planned electrical maintenance
  • Convert management plan schedules, service report findings and defect notifications into work orders
  • Maintain and schedule work orders in due regard to priority indicated and provide regular reports showing compliance with schedules
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, safety standards (including the Electrical Engineering Management Plan) and budget
  • Coordinate and liaise with production team, contractors and key stakeholders
  • Low and high voltage installations, including electrical design, change management, installations and commissioning
  • Maintenance of water pumps, co-disposal, telemetry, fibre optic networks and CCTV
  • Achieve plant reliability and availability expectations and production targets
  • Identify and implement continuous (CI) improvement strategies targeting safety, reliability and cost saving

This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah) DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.

About you:

  • Electrical diploma or Electrical Trade + relevant experience
  • Experience supervising teams
  • Possess or have ability to obtain EEM ticket
  • Possess well-developed communication, negotiating and influencing skills and confidence in your knowledge of work management processes
  • Project management experience
  • Experience using SAP or similar CMMS
  • Sound understanding of PLC & SCADA
  • HV experience
