Job Summary
This individual will provide a broad range of HR services in support of the business objectives, strategic goals and human resource initiatives. Assist with employee relations, performance management, policy maintenance and development and compensation/benefits.
Job Description


  • Displaying Peabody’s Mission and Values;
  • Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
  • Ability and commitment to work safely
  • Serve as an interface for HR related questions from employees and managers
  • Facilitate HR transactions related to personnel moves, changes in compensation, hires and terminations
  • Participate in HR improvement projects across business units and functions
  • Assist in training and development sessions on various topics as needed
  • Ensure legal and ethical hiring practices are observed by all parties involved in the recruiting process
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and practices in a fair and equitable manner
  • Assist in developing and facilitating employee engagement activities and programs
  • Demonstrate ability to establish trust, credibility and influence at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, creativity, results oriented; posses good judgement and analytical skills
  • Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by the company


  • 2 years of relevant professional experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to sit for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to use a computer and communicate effectively in various forms, including email and by phone
  • Must have the ability to review paper and electronic documents and complete computer entry of data from paper documents
  • Must be able to find, remove and return files to/from file cabinets and discuss issues by telephone and in person
  • Must be able to operate copier, fax machine, etc.
