About the role

Peabody Energy is on the lookout for a driven Tax Analyst to join our Finance team in the Brisbane Corporate Office, where you’ll play a key role. across Australian tax compliance, reporting, administration and planning. Reporting to the Senior Manager Tax Compliance, you’ll step into a collaborative, high‑performing team that thrives on accuracy, continuous improvement and proactive problem‑solving. Key responsibilities

• Support the accurate preparation and timely lodgement of returns (direct and indirect taxes) and other statutory lodgements as required.
• Prepare tax workings and disclosure notes for Australian statutory financial statements.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly tax provision calculations.
• Support tax review of business processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, leasing arrangements, and fixed asset management.
• Provide support on ad hoc tax projects and initiatives as required.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Finance or Tax
• 1-2 years' experience in corporate tax (experience within the mining industry or a large/global corporate environment will be highly regarded)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (SAP experience advantageous)
