About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making across our Brisbane corporate office. This role provides high‑quality financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, partnering closely with site leadership, operations, and corporate finance teams.

This is a key business‑partnering role focused on driving cost discipline, capital efficiency, and value creation.

What You Will Do:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes
• Prepare monthly forecasts, rolling outlooks, and LOM models
• Analyse variances and provide clear insights

Performance Reporting & Analysis

• Deliver monthly management and cost performance reporting
• Develop KPIs and dashboards
• Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities

Business Partnering

• Partner with operations and site leadership to support decision‑making
• Provide financial input into operational plans and improvement initiatives

Capital & Project Analysis

• Support CAPEX planning, tracking, and investment appraisals
• Monitor project performance against approved budgets

Cost Control & Governance

• Support cost control frameworks and month‑end close
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with financial policies

The Lifestyle

This position is offered on a Monday to Friday basis, working from our Fortitude Valley office with flexible start/finish times and a redistributed working week giving employees the option to finish at noon on Fridays.  

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Commerce
• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards) highly regarded
• 5+ years’ experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting
• Experience in mining, resources, or asset‑intensive industries preferred
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel capability; Power BI or similar tools advantageous
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A proactive, detail‑oriented approach and ability to manage competing priorities
