About the Role

We are currently seeking a Corporate Development Analyst to join our dynamic and high-performing team in our Fortitude Valley office. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating new opportunities, supporting transactions, and shaping the company’s long term growth. This is a junior level role, perfect for someone with foundational financial modelling and presentation exposure and a naturally curious, adaptable, and hands‑on approach.

 

What You Will Do

  • Supporting the execution of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestments, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Conducting market research and analysis on the mining sector and potential opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Build and maintain financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV) with guidance from experienced team members
  • Prepare investment papers, presentations, and insights for senior leadership
  • Track competitor activity, market dynamics, and industry transactions
  • Collaborating with internal and external parties such as business units, legal, finance, tax, and advisors.

 

The Lifestyle

This position is offered on a Monday to Friday basis, working from our Fortitude Valley office with flexible start/finish times and a redistributed working week giving employees the option to finish at noon on Fridays.

 

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. Graduates from the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics program in the University of Queensland, or similar, highly regarded.
  • 2-3+ years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance, strategy, business development, consulting or mining environment.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in Financial modelling
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to simplify complex ideas
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders across business areas for collaboration and support
  • A flexible, hands on mindset and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to manage confidential information with maturity
