Title:  Maintenance Field Supervisor

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Field Maintenance Supervisor to join our Coppabella Mine.  Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing all planned, breakdown and repair maintenance activities as well as communicating changes that will impact the mine priorities.  You will be part of a dynamic team culture contributing to the successful performance of the mine.

 

Key duties:

  • Providing practical input into the content of all short and long term maintenance plans for mobile equipment
  • Providing leadership, motivation and support to Leading Hands and all roster and dayshift team members, taking accountability for team performance including contractors
  • Executing all planned, breakdown and improvement work, minor projects and reliability initiatives
  • Reducing equipment downtime by ensuring all maintenance activities are planned, manned and carried out to a high standard, in a safe and timely manner.
  • Promoting a team culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including cost saving initiatives
  • Communicate issues that impact the planned work and extend equipment downtimes
  • Develop systems so that all maintenance personnel and contractors are effectively managed
THE LIFESTYLE

This position is offered on a 7/7 even time roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.  Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.

ABOUT YOU
  • You are a dynamic leader who will lead by example and be a role model for your team by displaying behaviours in line with company values
  • Relevant mechanical / electrical trade qualification or engineering degree along with proven experience in a similar role in an open cut environment
  • Extensive knowledge of effective planning and execution processes for mobile equipment
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (SAP experience is highly desirable) as well as MS Office Suite
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment condition monitoring practices
  • Uncompromising commitment to safety
  • QMS1, QMS2, QMS3
