Title:  Night Shift Warehouse Tech

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager-Warehouse/Purchasing, this position is responsible for performing mine material management functions.  This includes ordering, receiving and issuing supplies, stocking the warehouse, maintaining inventory controls, computer data entry, loading and unloading supplies, and maintaining a clean/organized warehouse and yard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values

• Inspect work area, equipment and stores for hazards, damage and defects
• Receipt and issue of stock
• Reconcile consignment notes and orders
• Load and unload stock and bin items.
• Identify and investigate anomalies between physical and recorded stock levels
• Store yard holdings
• Maintain accurate records of issues, receipts, stock-takes, etc.
• Training other personnel
• Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
• Other duties as assigned by the company

Physical Requirements

• Perform constant functions including walking, standing, travel up and down stairs and vertical ladders, working overhead, bending forward and twisting
• Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. 
• Must be able to walk up to 6 miles daily on concrete, use of stairs, kneeling, crouching, forward bending while twisting.
• Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles.
• Must be able to push and pull loads using manual pallet jack.
• Must be able to enter/exit and safely operate a fork lift.
• Must be able to work with/in equipment with moderate to high levels of vibration.
• Must be able to safely load repeatedly 37lbs from 36” to floor level.
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer 80lbs to and from a height of 36”. 
• Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders.
• Must have the ability to lift/raise 10 - 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the course of work shift. 
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs and good hand to eye coordination.
• Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.
• Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
